Over the last decade, with more environmental legislation in place, it
has become evident that new technology is a necessity to remain in
compliance with the laws. Companies that rely on diesel engines to power
their equipment have become anxious about the future due to the
overwhelming expense of new engines and the lack of cost effective
alternatives. In order to survive and operate in the next decade, we
started to experiment with different engine configurations. Over time one
idea grew into another and in 1995 CCTS was formed.
The next step was to find a testing facility to assess the ideas and
prove up their durability. CCTS wanted to be sure that the test results
that were achieved would be recognized globally. Testing was completed at
an internationally recognized independent testing facility. Through
extensive testing, CCTS was able to achieve emission results out of older
engines that meet the new engine standards established by EPA and CARB.
CCTS now has patents and certifications of this technology and is ready to
enter the portable equipment and offroad-stationary source markets. All
companies that use two-cycle diesel engines now have an alternative to the
high cost of new engines, a cost effective mechanical retrofit kit that
can be installed during a normal engine rebuild. Many wonderfully
innovative hours were involved developing the technology. CCTS is pleased
to play a small part in cleaning up the air so that the world can see the
future more clearly!
